So after being absent for several weeks due to moving house, starting a new job and, more troublingly, become hopelessly addicted to The Last Of Us on the PS3, I have returned with another comic based on a recent event in my, mostly dull, life. I hope you enjoyed it…actually I don’t really care either way, but it sounds nicer if I pretend I do.
Welcome back man! I thought you may have disappered for good so this is a welcome surprise indeed… And finally, did you give the guy the £4? Bit steep for a card I feel…
Thanks very much! Life has managed to get in the way of me making comics of late. I didn’t give him the money, I just scuttled off whilst the entire station glared at me and assumed I was a profound racist.
Wise…
Nice to see you again! Hey, I know that feeling 🙂 Great cartoon! This racism accusing seems to be very trendy . Lately I got asked for 10€ for a train ticket to GRANDMA and got scould an arrogant white bitch because I said: Hey Dude I must work quite long for 10 € 😉
Thanks very much! Hmmm, maybe next time I’ll insist that I’m actually black. Perhaps that would confuse him into submission;-)
Haahaaa! Fantastic strip, Mark. Got a good laugh. And to top it off, your comment reply: ” ..maybe next time I’ll insist that I’m actually black. Perhaps that would confuse him into submission…” Perfection.
Glad to see you ’round again.
Thanks buddy! It’s nice to return and have people say things like that…if only my parents were as welcoming when I return home on visits;-)
I’ve got taken for a ride many times and because I’m too damn sensitive I never realize until after I’ve given the douche money.
That’s probably because you’re a decent human being (unless you’re actually some kind of monstrous fiend, in which case I retract my statement). I encounter people like that enough that I’m able to switch off my humanity (because I’m less nice), but this guy’s technique stuck with me as it was so creative.
Hey. New to your blog. Brilliant! That is all.
Hehe, thanks again. Your (virtual) support makes it all worthwhile. If you ever need to borrow any money or just some emotional support then you know where I am (nb. the internet).
Hi there, my name is Almeida Garcez, and I´m a freelance illustrator and writer. I noticed that you liked some of my illustrations, and I took a look at your page.
I really liked your style of telling stories, and was happy that I found your virtual space.
This article particularly interested me, because of the way you tell the story, the way you presented your images, and the title that you gave. I was going to ask, if you mind if I use your title to make an illustration?
I would obviously feature your name and page, in my post.
Kindest Regards
Hi,
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I would love to see you create an illustration from one of posts. Your work is great, so please go ahead!
Mark
Glad you liked the idea.
I just wanted to ask you one more thing, to be honest, there´s two things I would like to know.
1 – your name is mark right?
2 – what´s your nationality?
I was always like to make reference of that in my collaborations…
If you don´t mind of course.
Kindest Regards
Almeida Garcez
No problem! Yes, my name is Mark…and I’m English.
Hello Mark, just wanted to say that I finished my illustration based on a phrase of yours.
Thank you very much, for allowing me to do it..
Kindest Regards
Almeida Garcez
Thanks for letting me know…and, of course, for your illustration! It’s great! Needless to say I feel honoured to have such a good illustrator feeling in any way inspired by my dodgy drawings!
Yeah, I hate it when people do that. Especially when they raise their voice and stuff so people can hear.
Hehe, agreed:)
